Hermes Precious Paradise MINT! (almost) In original box and tissue, with Sales and Care tags

This highly detailed, whimsical Hermes scarf design is by London-based illustrator Katie Scott, created for the Hermès Spring/Summer 2024 collection.  You can spend hours gazing at it, and still miss some of the wit and wonder!

We would describe our example as ‘mint’, apart from a couple of extra creases. It retains all the stiffness and original folds of a brand new scarf, as well as the care tag and the (separate) sales tag. It comes presented in its original box and tissue which are in very good condition.  A current collectors’ piece, which will almost certainly hold, or gain in its value.

Hermes writes: A monkey picks flowers for a bouquet, surprising two penguins in the middle of a conversation. A lizard happily chats with a swan, while a lemur talks to a parrot, and a giraffe and zebra look on in amazement. Against a backdrop of fountains inspired by 17th-century engravings, Katie Scott presents a zoo of East and West. A vision of paradise where flora and fauna harmoniously merge together.

‘My Little Hermes Collection’ adds:  A new addition to Hermes roster of artists (it’s like soap operas – if your tenure is less than 20 years, you’re new),  Katie Scott has created a handful of scarves over the past five years (well, 7 years – it takes a few years for an artist’s approved design to be produced and in boutiques). The self-taught illustrator’s line work combines nature, anatomy and fantasy. Her work includes Lanternes Ballons et Cocardes, 2023, Index Palmarum, 2019 Toucans de Paradis, 2020 Index Bromeliaceae, 2022 Precious Paradise, 2024, Le Carrousel du Tigre Royal, 2025. All are highly treasured and sought after.

Katie Scott graduated from the University of Brighton in 2011, coming to public attention for her illustrations of the Bombay Bicycle Club. Since then her hand-drawn fine line work and digital watercolouring have found their way into people’s homes, whether through posters, wine labels, newspapers or wallpaper. Her preoccupation with the natural world was allowed to run wild with the publication of her first book, Animalium, which in 2014 was awarded the Sunday Times Children’s Book of The Year.
