Feels Unworn Classy Elegant ‘Spinnakers’

£199.00

A must for all sailors, this classic Hermes scarf design is in the most fantastic condition, and feels unworn. 9.8/10. However we’ve taken it to the cleaners to ensure you receive it in pristine condition.

This vibrant scarf was designed by Julia Abadie in 1982, and reissued in 2006 and 2013. You can tell that this is a first issue by its tiny care label, although you would be forgiven for thinking that it’s brand new, rather than forty years old!

Mme Abadie was a prolific designer for Hermes, responsible for around 30 scarves, covering in an enormous variety of subject matter, illustrated in a wide range of styles. Her tenure lasted an incredible forty-five years! Her first design, ‘Tribord’ (another nautical scarf) was issued in 1968, while her last two designs came out in 2013.

She is responsible for our perennial favourite, ‘Hommage a Mozart’, while ‘Swing’ is the ultimate scarf for keen golfers. She created several of Hermes’ most popular designs of all, including ‘Plumes et Grelots’, available in treasured jacquard; and ‘Cliquetis’.
