Hermes Raconte-Moi Le Cheval Special Harrods Issue MINT! Tangerine

A rare Special Issue, commemorating Harrods’ 150th birthday, in a simply stunning tangerine colourway, this collectors’ scarf is in mint condition (oddly unusually heavily starched). Designed by Dimitri Rybaltchenko in 1999/2000, it was subsequently released as ‘Raconte-Moi Le Cheval’ to the general public in 2001/2, and re-issued in 2004. There was also a further Special Edition created for the Theodora Foundation, a children’s charity, which was founded in 1993.

The text all around the edge of the scarf is written in English, and reads:

Canter down the aisles of emerald and gold,

and gallop through acres … of beauty untold.

‘Tis a time to make merry

and join in the fun, a time to remember.

There is only one… So saddle up, Hermes,

and fly like the wind, there’s no time to lose…

Let the shopping begin! Make haste Hemes, my noble steed,

we must ride to London and celebrate indeed!
