Mint, Olive Green, ‘La Voie Lactee’ (‘The Milky Way’) In Immaculate Original Box, and Tissue
£349.00
The perfect gift for the astrologer in your life who already has everything. There’s a myth that Hermes even gave this scarf a special ‘glow in the dark’ coating (we think that might be the black colourway).
Despite being 25 years old (as is evident from the design of the care tag), you could be forgiven for believing this classy scarf is brand new, as it comes packed in its immaculate Hermes box, and slightly wrinkled tissue, complete with original folds, weight, and stiffness.
It was designed in 1999 by Wlodek Kaminski, who is also responsible for Balade en Berline, Mon Petit Cheval Mexicain (one of the most faked designs of all time!), Pluie d’Etincelles, and Selle d’Apparat Marocaine.
Wlodek Kaminski graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 1963. He was awarded a medal at the exhibition of Young Painters of Krakow in 1965. He settled in France in 1985 and obtained French citizenship in 1991. He has been designing for Hermès since 1987. He has had his own studio in the “Montmartre aux Artistes” of the 18th district of Paris since 1991. Kaminski’s works are included in the collections of the National Museum in Krakow.
