Hermes Scarf Chasse au Bois (Hunting in the Woods) Cheeky!
£399.00
One of our favourite designs, and in fantastic condition, virtually unworn and complete with care label. We’ve taken this Hermes scarf to the cleaners to freshen it up, and to ensure that some ultra-feint storage lines disappear, but it’s otherwise unmarked. Condition 9.8/10.
Designed in 1995 by Carl de Parcevaux, here we have a detailed autumnal hunting scene in a forest, featuring various woodland animals and hunters, with the two foxes appearing particularly cheeky and unconcerned, whilst the hunters are having little success. The Carré Society describes an “ecological ballet” between predator and prey within a vibrant undergrowth, and wonderful detailed illustrations of foxes, rabbits, jays, and woodpeckers; the animals depicted larger than the humans to signify their dominance in their own territory.
A pleated version of this scarf also exists.
