Sought After ‘Donner la Main’ (Giving Your Hand), With a Message

£299.00

A very pretty, rather special scarf in a wonderful, unusual lilac colourway, with a message concerning human rights.

It feels almost unworn, but we’ve spotted some faint storage marks, so we’ve sent it to the cleaners to ensure you get it at its very best.

The scarf was designed in 2002 by Karen Peetrossian

Carre de Paris writes:

Donner la Main features women and men from around the world holding hands in unity.

In 2008, the Maison Hermes teamed up with FIDH (International Federation for Human Rights) and issued a special version, a rare Limited Edition, of this scarf, that was only available through the FIDH website. The difference? FDIH’s name was included inside the inner circle in both French and English, and the following slogan in the outer circle:

“All Human beings are Born Free and Equal in Dignity and Rights”
