Very Rare and Sought After, Delightful ‘Bocage’, Collectors’ Item
£349.00
In excellent condition, this pretty, whimsical and charming Hermes scarf, shows cheerful little songbirds, happily tweeting away in a hedgerow.
It was designed 1971 by Anne Gavarni, and includes Hermes’ early copyright detail. The colours retain their brightness and clarity, and the silk has kept its weight. It feels as though this scarf has hardly been worn, it has just a couple of very faint smudges and storage marks. Condition 9/10.
‘Bocage’ is defined as farmland criss-crossed by hedges and trees, typical of Normandy.
More readily available Hermes designs also by Anne Gavarni include ‘La Rosee’ and ‘Les Champignons’.
