Hermes writes: The forever scarves are heritage scarves, authentic and alive, that honor the original design in a unique and emblematic color. Neither reworked nor redesigned, they are presented in all their simplicity, true to the original drawing of the artist.

The sound of hooves and a few neighs signal the departure of an enthusiastic team from the stable. With their impeccably plaited manes, meticulously polished coats and brand-new harnesses, the two helmsmen and three flying horses all compete to be the most stylish. Leather buckles and collars form the border of this bold scarf with a modern, dynamic look. With his white gloves, the coachman guides his horses with a gentle and precise touch.

This classic equestrian-themed design was created by the legendary artist Philippe Ledoux in 1972.  Translated as “crossbow horse hitch,” the design showcases a unique driver’s perspective of an elegant horse-drawn carriage setup. The motif has seen multiple reissues over the years (notably in 1993 – as our example).
